Senlis is a French commune, sub-prefecture of the department of Oise, in region Hauts-de-France. It is located on Nonette, between the forests of Chantilly and Ermenonville in the south, and Halatte in the north, forty kilometers north of Paris. Its inhabitants are called the Senlisians.

An ancient foundation, a royal residence during the Middle Ages, the city preserves its rich history and has several museums. The old town is made up of a group of old houses and alleys surrounded by Gallo-Roman and medieval ramparts, around a Gothic cathedral.
